This post is to show how we can create a yearly archive pod in blogCFC. I have recently modified my blogCFC design and I’m really happy on that customization. So the first thing we need to do is adding a new function in the blog.cfc component which is under org > camden > blog folder in your blog root.

Problem: I got an issue when I installed the CFEclipse in one of my system at work place. The installed versions are Eclipse 3.3.2 Europa and CFEclipse 1.3.2 beta. In previous version of CFEclipse we have the option for enabling line numbers by selecting “Windows > Preferences > CFEclipse > Editor > Show Line Number Checkbox”. But this is not available in CFEclipse 1.3.2. There is another way for enabling is by right clicking the editor and check marking the “Show Line Numbers” this is also not worked for me. After goggling I have found the solution from CFEclipse discussion group.

Chennai ColdFusion User Group is having a meeting about using CFEclipse for ColdFusion Application development on coming February 14. This is a quick guide for setting up the AIR SDK and running your HTML based AIR Desktop Application on windows operating system. This topic might be an old one for seasoned AIR developers but I hope this is useful for AIR beginners like me.

As part of 2009 task lists and to improve my knowledge in web design, I planned to change my blog UI. Hence, I played with the BlogCFC code and want to say it’s incredibly painless to change the entire theme and implement a new template for the blog. All the credits go to ColdFusion Jedi for his brilliant BlogCFC project to CF community. I used styleshout template for the theme and modified the design according to my interest.
